Barbara's grandfather, Albert Beasley was with the 1st Oxfordshire Light Infantry in the Boer War. She found a book in her grandfathers possessions titled "The Oxfordshire Light Infantry in South Africa 1900-1901". It was written from letters and journals of officers of the regiment. It lists deaths and injuries to officers.
