The SomLI WW1 Honour Roll is to big to reproduce here but you can go to Find a Soldier where for a fee there are extensive searches and reports available.

The Honour Roll searched is the Roll produced in 1921 and published by Hayward & Son in association with The Imperial War Museum. These are now made available by Savannah Books for which we give grateful thanks.

Roy Parkhouse created a list of 10,987 names of the fallen in the 1914-18 War. It was derived (by scanning) from a leather-bound book called the Somerset County War Memorial. It was  published by E. Goodman and Son, The Phoenix Press, Taunton, 1923. It has no author. The bulk of the book is taken up with the Roll of Honour which is an index to the Memorial Book reportedly held in Wells Cathedral. This is an extract of the 5000+ names from the Somerset Regiments. The information given is Surname, Forenames and Medals, Rank, Regiment and Where from.
